Running Accomplishments:

I have run 12 marathons, 5 since major surgery in 2005. My fastest was Leipzig in 1992. 3 hours 11 minutes 48 seconds. The Mesa-Phx Marathon on February 25, 2017 was the fastest since my surgery at 4:26:59.

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to improve on my last Marathon time. After the Phoenix Marathon that I ran February 25, 2017 I want to focus on shorter races and do a sprint tri. I did improve about 45 minutes faster on the Mesa-Phx Marathon over the last Petrified Forest Marathon and about 27 minutes faster than the last time I ran the Mesa-Phx Marathon.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Continue to run and work on my speed. Do shorter races and a sprint tri in the next year.

Personal:

I have been an educator for 32 years. My wife, Margaret, and I have 6 children and at the present time 6 grandchildren. Running helps to keep me level. I love it and hope to continue to run for many years to come.

Was warm. I stopped in the shade for 2 minutes once and had to stop at stoplights several times. Took Gatorade.

46:07. Ave speed 15.7 mph with max at 28.7mph. Ave hr 129 with max at 161. Just over 18 min for each 5 miles. Ran afterwards.

Ran 2.03 after` bike.

Swam .4 later in 9:23.

Was exhausted the next day and didn't get a run in on saturday because of it.

Don't know why running doesn't show up when I add cycling and swimming.
